Acute Rhinitis in TCM
When using Chinese herbal medicine, our TCM experts will customize the herbal prescription to meet the specific needs of your condition. A variety of single herbs are commonly added or subtracted to maximize the clinical effectiveness of the treatment. Up to now we have treated 810 cases of acute rhinitis by our Chinese medicine. We have had 98% effective rate, and 88% cure rate for the treatment.
Acute rhinitis is the acute inflammation of the nasal mucosa. Its main symptoms include nasal obstruction, sneezing and increased nasal discharge. The disease may occur in the four seasons and prevail in winter. Acute rhinitis is due to viral infection such as rhinovirus and adenovirus. When people are tired or catch cold, the body resistance will decline. This is the inducing pathogenic factor of acute rhinitis. Secondary bacterial infection may occur after the first viral infection. The disease is called "Shangfeng Bise" (nasal obstruction due to attack by cold).
