Effect
Nourish yin and arrest dysentery.

Indications
Chronic dysentery, tenesmus, recurrent dysentery, abdominal pain due to bloody

dysentery.

Ingredients
Rhizoma Coptidis (Huanglian) 360 g,
Rhizoma Zingiberis Praeparata (Paojiang) 120 g,
Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui) 180 g,
Colla Corii Asini (Ejiao) 180 g.

Explanation
Pao Jiang: Warming meridians and stopping bleeding, warming the spleen and stomach and

alleviating pain.

E Jiao: Nourishing Yin and tonifying the lung, enriching blood to arrest bleeding.

Dang Gui: Tonifying blood and activating blood, alleviating pain.

Huang Lian: Clearing heat and removing toxicity.

Administration
All the drugs are ground into fine powder. The powder is made with vinegar into pills.

Contraindication
It is contraindicated in case of the early stage of dysentery and damp-heat

accumulation.
