This formula is used for dispelling pathogenic wind externally and removing pathogenic fire-heat internally in disorders of bulbar conjunctiva and diseases of cornea due to syndrome of severe pathogenic wind and heat, or syndrome of excessive accumulation of wind and heat. It is indicated for redness in the white of the eye or inner eyelid, increased amount of tears, thick yellow discharge that crusts over the eyelashes, especially after sleep, green or white discharge from the eye, itchy eyes, burning eyes, blurred vision, increased sensitivity to light.
