(1) Syndrome of Downward Transmission of Dampness and Heat: Fever, aversion to cold, swelling and pain in the testicle, hard testicle, scanty and brown urine, dry stool, red tongue with yellowish and greasy coating, wiry, slippery and rapid pulse.
(2) Syndrome of Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis: gradual swelling of testicle, hard testicle with slightly pain, dark tongue with purple spots, thun and whitish coating, wiry and slippery pulse.
(3) Syndrome of Retardation of Blood Stasis: Trauma, swelling and pain of testicle, or red and scorching hot of the testicle, blue tongue with purple spots, hesitant pulse.
