Yin heel vessel
Yin heel vessel is collateral of kidney meridian of foot-shaoyin, it starts from Rangu acupoint of kidney meridian of foot-shaoyin which is at anterior aspect of medial malleolus and runs backward obliquely to posterior side of medial malleolus then ascends along kidney meridian of foot-shaoyin which is at medial side of lower limb to perineum. Entering from perineum into abdomen and ascending diaphragm then passing chest to supraclavicular fossa and running both sides of anterior neck to mandible, it runs upward before Renying acupoint to cheek then passes angle of mouth and nose to inner canthus and connects with bladder meridian of foot-taiyang and yang heel vessel. Penetrating from inner canthus to fossa orbitalis and entering from eyeball to cranial cavity, it is distributed in brain.

There are seven meridian vessels encountering Yin heel vessel which include meridian of foot-shaoyin, thoroughfare vessel, and meridian of hand-yangming and which encounter at medial angle of eye including stomach meridian, meridian of foot-taiyang, and meridian of hand-taiyang and yang heel vessel in distribution lines of Yin heel vessel.

Yin link vessel
Yin link vessel is collateral of kidney meridian of foot-shaoyin, it starts from Zhubin (KI 9) acupoint of kidney meridian of foot-shaoyin which is 5 cun above medial malleolus and ascends along medial side of thigh then passes groin to abdomen and runs along spleen meridian of foot-taiyin to Qimen (LR 14) acupoint which is at liver meridian of foot-jueyin. Running inward obliquely to anterior aspect of manubrium of sternum, it crosses Tiantu acupoint of conception vessel and is distributed in throat along anterior aspect of trachea.

There are five meridian vessels encountering Yin link vessel which include kidney meridian of foot-shaoyin, spleen meridian of foot-taiyang, liver meridian of foot-jueyin, conception vessel and thoroughfare vessel in distribution lines of Yin link vessel.
