Acupuncture Point Daling (PC7)
Location:
Stretch the arm and supinate the palm; on the first transverse stria of the wrist , between tendons of m. palmaris longus and flexor carpi radialis.

Function:
Relieving mental stress, regulating the function of the intestines and stomach, adjusting Ying and blood system, and removing obstruction from the channels and collaterals.

Regional Anatomy:
Skin-subcutaneous tissue-between tendons of long palmar muscle and radial flexor muscle of wrist-between tendons of fiexor muscle of thumb and superficial flexor muscle of fingers and deep flexor muscle of fingers-distal side of radiocarpal joint.
In the superficial layer, there are the medial and lateral cutaneous nerves of the forearm, the palmar branches of the median nerve ane the palmar venous network of the wrist. In the deep layer, the median nerve be injured if the needle is inserted bet

Indications:
Myocarditis, endocarditis, epicarditis, tachycardia, gastritis, gastric hemorrhage, tonsillitis, lymphnoditis of the axillary fossa, pharyngitis, Neurasthenia, intercostal neuralgia, Schizophrenia, soft tissue disorders around the wrist joint and painful heel, and scabies.

Prescription:
Combined use with ShuigouGV26 (Acupuncture Single Point Shuigou (GV26)) for treatment of schizophrenia; with ZhongwanCV12 (Acupuncture Single Point Zhongwan (CV12) Front-Mu Point of the Stomach) for treatment of gastritis and gastrospasm; with ShenmenHT7 (Shenmen (HT 7) Shu-Stream, Yuan-Primary Point), DanzhongCV17 (Acupuncture Single Point Danzhong (CV17) Front-Mu Point of the Pericardium), and JuqueCV14 (Acupuncture Single Point Juque (CV14) Front-Mu Point of the Heart) for the treatment of paroxysmal tachycardia; with NeiguanPC6 (Neiguan (PC6) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point), and QuzePC3 (Quze (PC3) He-Sea Point) for the treatment of heart and chest pain; with WaiguanTE5 (Waiguan (TE5) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point), ZhigouTE6 (Zhigou (TE6)) for the treatment of abdominal pain; and with GuanyuanCV4 (Guanyuan (CV4) Front-Mu Point of the SmallIntestine) for treatment of dark urine.

Methods:
Insert the needle perpendicularly, 0.3-0.8 cun deep; needling response: local numbness and distension, radiating toward the hand; moxibustion: using 3-5 moxa-cones, or mild moxibustion for 10 min.
