1.    If the therapeutic effect is not satisfactory by acupuncture for acute attack of asthma for longer duration, comprehensive therapy with Chinese and Western medicine should be applied to control the attack rapidly.

2.    All causes and allergies related to the onset of an asthma attack should be avoided to reduce the frequency of the attacks.

3.  "To treat in summer for the attack in winter" is the principle of curing asthma. The patient should be told that the symptoms are treated for the attack and the root cause treated for the recovery. Good cooperation may maintain solid and long-lasting therapeutic effect.
