Indications
Syndrome due to deficiency-cold of the stomach-Qi, marked by incessant hiccup, fullness in the chest, and slow pulse; including such diseases with the above symptoms as phrenospasm and nervous hiccup.

Ingredients
Flos Caryophylli (Dingxiang) 6 g,
Rhizoma Zingiberis (Shengjiang) 6 g,
Calyx Kaki (Shidi)">Calyx Kaki (Shidi) 9 g,
Ginseng-(Renshen).shtml" target='_blank' title="Radix Ginseng (Renshen)">Radix Ginseng (Renshen) 3 g.
Explanation
Ding Xiang: Warming the stomach, dispelling pathogenic cold, checking the upward adverse flow of Qi, and arresting hiccup.

Shi Di: Checking the upward adverse flow of Qi, arresting hiccup.

Ren Shen: Invigorating Qi, strengthening the body resistance.

Sheng Jiang: Warming the stomach, checking the upward adverse flow of Qi.

Administration
Decocted in water for oral dose to be taken twice.
