Wang Ji and his Examples of Principles and Dialogues on Acumoxibustion
Wang Ji (1463-1539), styled Shenzhi, was a native of Qimen, now in Anhui Province. His Examples of the Use of Principles in External Medicine (Wai tee li li , 1531), largely a compilation from Xue J i's writings (see the next item). The book was exceptional in its stress on internal states of the body in external disorders. Dialogues on Acumoxiibustion ( Zhen jiu wen dui, 1532), stressed the dangers of acupuncture and moxibustion when used exclusively, and their correct coordination with drug therapy.
