This is a method to treat ophthalmopathy by using the drugs with the action to resolve phlegm and dissipate masses. It is applicable to different types of internal and external oculopathy with visible objects caused by phlegm-damp combination and stagnancy of qi and blood. The common symptoms are chalazion, organized cord of eye with old exudation, and nodular projection of bulbar conjunctiva.
In the cases with stagnancy of qi and blood, drugs for regulating qi and blood are compatibly added and, in the cases with phlegm-damp combination, drugs for resolving phlegm and removing dampness are compatibly used.
