This is a treatment method for the deficiency of liver and kidney with the tonic drugs to invigorate liver and kidney so as to improve the vision. The method is applicable to ophthalmopathy due to deficiency of liver-kidney yin. The common ocular disorders to which the method can be applied include chronic external oculopathy and fundus diseases with mild symptoms, long sick course and repeated occurrence as well as internal oculopathy with retrograde changes. The general symptoms are lassitude in loin and legs, insomnia and amnesia, spermatorrhea for male, irregular menstruation for female, a reddish tongue with a little coating and thready-weak pulse.
