Location: In the midline of the epigastrium, 1 cun above the umbilicus.

Governs water balance in the body.
Primary Indications:
Borborygmus, ascites.
Tertiary Indications:
Urinary retention, nausea and vomiting, abdominal pain.
Other Indications:
Sudden epistaxis, dysuria, Nephritis, hernia, Gastric Cancer, Enteritis, Diarrhea, cholera, chronic lesions of the intestines, stiffness and contracture of the renal region and the vertebral column, sudden subsidence of anterior fontanelle in children, rectal prolapse.
